Price Lock-In Mechanics
To keep the game fair and simple, everyone enters at the same price and finishes at the same price.
What we do
We use Alchemy as our price oracle.
We take one snapshot at game start (Mon 5:00 pm ET) and one snapshot at close (Fri 5:00 pm ET) via Alchemy API.
Those two snapshots define the start price and end price for every token in the game.
How it applies to your portfolio
During portfolio allocation you choose your allocation per coin.
At game start, each allocation is converted into a position quantity using the start price from the game start snapshot.
Example: allocate $30,000 to BTC. If the kickoff snapshot price is $120,000, your position becomes 0.25 BTC.
All week, leaderboards update off market moves, but no edits are allowed to participant lineups.
At game close, we value your quantities using the end price from the closing snapshot. This determines final standings and the winners!
A note on USDC
USDC is allowed up to 50% of your portfolio.
It’s priced by the snapshot at $1 flat.
Display vs. final result
Charts and PnL you see mid-week are real-time.
Final results always use the two official snapshots (kickoff and close). After the close snapshot, we run a short validation and send payouts.
What we record
For transparency, each snapshot stores:
Timestamp
Token prices returned by the oracle
A game snapshot ID we can reference in support
